FAQ

Q | What size unit do I need?

A | The best way to help our storage experts determine the perfect size unit for you is to have a clear idea of exactly what items you will be storing with us. With a few simple questions, our storage experts can narrow down your needs to 1 or 2 unit sizes for you to choose from. Please have details such as bed sizes (king, queen, full, etc), couch sizes (sectional, traditional), approximate number of boxes, and details on any other furniture items or appliances you may be storing.

Q | Is there pest control?

A | Absolutely. We take a proactive approach to pest control by spraying for insects on the first Tuesday of every month. Additionally, vacant units are cleaned and sprayed upon move out inspection. To further prevent pests in our facility, the storage of food items (pet food, MREs, canned goods, spices, etc) and consumable liquids (water, juice, soda, etc) are prohibited from storage, as well as inside the facility.

Q | What can’t I store?

A | The following items and categories of items are prohibited from storage in our facility:
Firearms, ammunition, explosives, petroleum products (gasoline, kerosene, etc), compressed fuels and gases (propane, acetylene, etc), rattle cans (spray paint, hair spray, etc), livestock or live animals, all food and consumables (water, juice, soda, bird food, pet food, MREs, canned goods, spices, etc), hazardous wastes or toxic materials, and odor-producing materials (ammonia, bleach, moth balls, etc).

If you have any questions or need further details with regard to what is prohibited in our facilities, please consult with our storage experts.

Q | Do I need my own lock?

A | The administrative fee charged at move in ($25.00) includes a lock for your unit. Our facility uses 3/4” barrel locks. If you have one of your own, you are most welcome to use it, as lock as our locking mechanism does not need to be modified to accept it.

Q | Is insurance required?

A | Yes. Our rental agreement requires that you, the renter, insure your stored belongings. If your existing insurance policy covers self-storage then you’re all set. Just bring a declaration page from your insurance company with a policy number at move in. If your existing insurance doesn’t cover self-storage, we work with a third-party company, SafeStor, to provide coverage for your belongings. Ask our storage experts for details.

Q | What is the term of the rental agreement?

A | Our rental agreement is a month to month contract, with rent being due on the first day of each month. A 14 day minimum rental is required. Tenants may vacate at any time with a 10 days advance notice to vacate.

Q | Can I request a price list?

A | Unfortunately, we do not provide a price list for all unit sizes to avoid any confusion on what may or may not be available at our facility. However, during the inquiry process, we absolutely provide price quotes for unit sizes that you feel will suit your storage needs.

Q | Can I pay in advance?

A | All tenants are welcome to pay their rents in advance. However, we do not refund any rent monies paid in advance upon move out

Q | Do you offer a Verteran/Active Duty Military Discount?

A | Absolutely. All Veterans and Active Duty Military are eligible for a 10% monthly rental rate discount for the lifetime of their account, with no limit on number of units rented. Please present a military ID to one of our self-storage experts to receive your discount.

Q | Do you offer Vehicle/RV/Boat Parking?

A | As of January 2020, we do not offer any parking for rent. If you visit our facility, you can see an active construction site next door where we are currently expanding our facility. We expect to have parking available with this expansion in the fall of 2020.

Q | When can I access my unit?

Q | What happens if I pay rent late?

A | Not to worry. While rent is always due on the first, we allow a grace period of 10 days to get your rent payment in to our office. We understand that life is full of unexpected circumstances. For payments beyond 10 days past due, we recommend that you always communicate with our offices.
